hello! if you are on this page, you have likely asked me a permutation of the question: "why are you called abigail if your name is Isabelle?"

in short: i like it more!

in long: at some stage, a friend called me abigail- apparently because i reminded them of the character by the same name in stardew valley -it was a funny event that became a thing this friend would regularly call me. eventually, other friends joined in, and my friends stopped calling me Isabelle altogether.

as the people i surround myself with on a daily basis started to call me abigail more and more, the name eventually grew on me. now, whenever i hear myself being called Isabelle it's a bit of a mental whiplash, as i am rarely called that besides by my family.

you may have noticed that i explicitly do not capitalise abigail, but do capitalise Isabelle; this is because, once again, i like it more. Abigail looks strange compared to abigail, as does isabelle look strange compared to Isabelle.

so yeah; my name is Isabelle, but people call me abigail. you should probably call me abigail as well :)
